ERP implementation for UK businesses
An ERP set up for the way UK businesses trade: VAT handled properly, figures in GBP, a chart of accounts your accountant recognises and a clean link to the accounting software you already use.
ERP implementation for UK companies
An ERP brings stock, sales, purchasing, production and finance into one system, so the figures your team works from are the same ones your accountant sees. We implement custom-built or ready-made ERP, configured for your business, for small and mid-sized UK companies that have outgrown spreadsheets and disconnected tools.
The work starts with how you actually operate: how orders arrive, how stock moves, who approves what and what your month end looks like. The system is then configured around that, rather than your team bending to fit the software.
UK VAT and Making Tax Digital
We set up VAT codes for the rates and treatments your business uses, such as standard-rated, reduced-rate, zero-rated and exempt supplies, along with special treatments like the domestic reverse charge where they apply to you.
Making Tax Digital for VAT has applied to all VAT-registered businesses since April 2022: VAT records must be kept digitally and returns filed using MTD-compatible software. Your requirements depend on your circumstances. Depending on your setup, returns may be filed from MTD-compatible accounting software that the ERP passes figures to. We explain the options during scoping and agree them with you and your accountant. Nothing on this page is tax advice.
GBP configuration and UK chart of accounts
The system is set up with GBP as the base currency, UK date and number formats, and a chart of accounts laid out the way UK accountants expect. If you buy or sell in euros or dollars, foreign currency handling is configured so invoices and payments are converted and recorded consistently.
Integration with your existing accounting software
Many businesses want to keep the accounting software their bookkeeper already knows. We connect the ERP to it so invoices, bills, payments and stock values flow across without re-keying, and agree with you and your accountant which system is the record for what.
Migration from spreadsheets and legacy systems
We pull products, customers, suppliers and opening balances out of spreadsheets and older systems, remove duplicates and fix formats, then check the totals with you before go-live, so the first day starts from figures you trust.
Who it suits: traders, distributors, manufacturers and service businesses

ERP for UK businesses: FAQ
Is your ERP HMRC-recognised?
We do not describe any ERP system as HMRC-recognised. HMRC publishes a list of software that is compatible with Making Tax Digital for VAT, and returns must be filed from compatible software. Depending on your setup, that may be your accounting software connected to the ERP.
Do we have to replace our accounting software?
No. Many businesses keep their existing accounting software and connect the ERP to it. We only suggest replacing it if it is holding you back.
How long does an ERP implementation take?
It depends on how many areas of the business are involved and the state of your data. We agree a timeline with you during scoping rather than quoting one up front.
Can you work with our accountant?
Yes. Your accountant should be involved in decisions about VAT codes, the chart of accounts and opening balances, and we work with them directly if you would like us to.
Do you provide quotations in GBP?
Yes. Every quotation is fixed, itemised and in GBP.
